This book is written from the grandmother's perspective, imagining all the milestones of the first year of life for the new child, while he\she were still in mummy's tummy. I think reading this story to a to a child gives them a great source of comfort and security of being loved and longed for even before they were born. A wonderful book to reinforce the love and special bond between grandma and child. As a mom I can relate so much to this feeling of loving your children and imagining little precious moments in the future with them even before they are actually born.
It is written from a the dad's mom perspective, so if you give it to your own mom just change the line "when your dad was in my tummy" to "when your mom was in my tummy".
