These balloons are a great hit at our house on sunny days.
Whenever new friends come and are feeling shy, this is a great icebreaker. We always take out the water balloons and the fun begins. Ariel doesn't like to get splashed so if he's in the game one of the rules is you don't through them directly on each other.
Sometimes they water the plants in the garden with them, sometimes smash them up against the wall or have competitions how far you can squirt the water from the balloon, sometimes they have water fights and when they are really creative they build 2 forts , make rules and use the balloons as their "weapons".
