If your kid is shy, or you want your kid to understand shy kids better and treat them kindly, I would suggest this book.
The book tells the story of Sam. Sam was really shy, so no one in his class knew much about him. When it was his turn for show and tell he was absolutely petrified!
But he learned that when he was forced to face his fear- actually nothing bad happened : "he didn't faint, he didn't through up and no one laughed, instead everyone clapped when he was done. Now everyone in class knew a little bit more about Sam" and he already started to plan what he is going to bring for the next show and tell.
